The Story so far

About Enya

Enya Nellie is a 4 year only young lady who was diagnosed with AML rare form of Leukemia in girls. The family was taken straight from her local Treliske Hospital in Cornwall to Bristol Children’s Hospital where they were told that her treatment would be residential and all delivered in Bristol. Lives were uprooted and family left behind. The journey continues and they, along with Enya, are now providing much needed additions to the wards that she is in and along the way promote play to all children who find themselves in this situation.

Our History

We are a small and relatively new charity born out of experiencing things on the wards of the SouthWest hospitals and felt a little like we could help. Coming from a nursery and play background we identified small things that potentially could make a huge difference. We met with the ward sister, and ward managers and expressed our feelings as they were so appreciative of what we could potentially offer. The teams work so hard on the ward this may just be a little boost that they need

Our Vision

Our collective vision is quite simple. Support play during the worst possible times for children and their families and bring activities and equipment to the wards to lower anxiousness and feelings in all children on their journey with leukemia and out the other end
